Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Maison Le Deux website and your acquisition of any digital edition from it. By browsing the site or completing an acquisition, you accept them.

They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, write to us before you buy — we would rather explain than surprise you.

Everything the maison sells is digital. An edition is a curated collection of artworks delivered as high-resolution files; nothing is printed, framed or shipped by us.

Delivery is by download link, sent by email within minutes of your order being confirmed and available thereafter from your order page. You are responsible for the devices and storage on which you keep the works; we are responsible for making the links available again if you lose them.

An acquisition does not transfer ownership of the artworks. It grants you a license: the Personal License with every acquisition, or the Commercial License where arranged with the maison, per business location.

Prices are shown before you confirm your order, and any applicable taxes are stated at checkout. Payment is processed by Shopify's secure payment infrastructure; the maison never sees or stores your card details.

We may change prices, or open and close editions, at any time — but never for an order already placed.

Because delivery is immediate, sales are generally final. If your files arrive faulty, incomplete or not as described, write to us within 14 days and we will replace them or refund you — whichever puts it right.

You agree not to resell, redistribute, publicly host or share the edition files; not to mint them as NFTs or use them in blockchain projects; not to create and distribute derivative works from them; and not to scrape, copy or reproduce the site or its previews beyond what browsing requires.

Licenses that are abused may be revoked; where the law allows, this ends your right to display the works.

The artworks, editions, texts and the Maison Le Deux name remain the intellectual property of the maison at all times. What you acquire is the enduring right to live with the works under your license — not the right to reissue them.

Every edition is proofed before release, and we warrant that the files will match their description. Beyond that, the site and works are provided as they are; we cannot warrant that they suit a particular device, space or purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the maison's total liability for any claim arising from an acquisition is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may revise these terms from time to time; the version published here applies to each new acquisition, and changes are never retroactive to an order already placed. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Maison Le Deux is registered, and disputes belong to its courts.
